Venue Rental

Event Type Descriptions and Details

Classes

  • Include an additional 15 minute load-in/load-out time for students to arrive before classes.  If consecutive hours are booked, load-in/load-out time is only added to the beginning and end of the total block.
  • Include One event staffer to assist with either ticketing or venue tech as needed
  • May also book a practica or social dance period after classes.
  • Non-alcoholic beverages are permissible, but classes may not include serving food

Rehearsals

  • Must book a minimum of 5 hours to be scheduled either same day or in recurring time slots.
  • Does not include additional load-in/load-out time
  • Non-alcoholic beverages are permissible, but rehearsals may not include serving food

Performances

  • Flat rate for performance includes a 4 hour performance time.  If additional time is needed, it can be added for the pro-rated hourly rate
  • Includes 2 hour load-in and 1 hour load-out time before and after the performance time slot
  • Includes one staffer to assist with either ticketing or venue tech as needed
  • Performances must be open to the public in general
  • Different pricing rates for events with food/beverage v. events without

Public/Social Events

  • Flat rate for rehearsal includes a 4 hour performance time.  If additional time is needed, it can be added for the pro-rated hourly rate

Private Events

  • Must book a 3 hour minimum for evenings or weekends. Weekday timeslots do not have a minimum
  • Any events for the 3 hour minimum or greater will include an additional 2-hour setup and 1 hour cleanup time before/after.
  • Includes one staffer to assist with either ticketing/security or venue tech as needed.

For all events

  • The entire venue must be rented; partial venue rentals are not available at this time
  • 40% rental deposit and refundable damages deposit due within 2 weeks after scheduling your event.
  • Balance of rental cost due at the beginning of the month in which the event occurs.
  • If an event is recurring, 1 month’s rent will be due at time of booking with each subsequent month’s rent due the first of the month
  • The Ideal Arts Space will publicize all public events on our calendar and social media pages.  We ask renters to provide text for event descriptions and, if available, links for online ticketing/registration
  • Renters are responsible for collecting payment for public events and securing any permits needed
  • Renters are responsible for staging their desired venue layout setup (such as rearranging furniture and decorating) as well as returning the venue to its original state following the event

Upon request, the Ideal Arts Space can provide

  • Use of available furniture (4 couches, 5 five-foot round tables, 100 padded, upholstered and 35 metal folding chairs)
  • Use of the Ideal’s PA sound system (6 fifteen inch speakers, 2 wired vocal microphones with stands, hookup for limited live instrumentation and/or audio playback device)
  • Use of the Ideal’s stage lighting (4 LED lights controllable from our tech booth)
